During the HockeyOne League Final Series, Australian hockey star Greta Hayes showed us how sport and sustainability go hand in hand by planting 1 native seed pod for every minute she played on the field.
That’s not just athletic dedication - it’s environmental action.
Through this initiative, Greta is helping restore native grasslands as part of Everclime and Hockey Australia’s new Sustainability-as-a-Service partnership. Fans can track the progress of these seed pods via a dedicated digital Impact Card.
Her efforts demonstrate that every action, big or small, makes an impact. This is the future of sports: athletes driving meaningful change on and off the field.

We’re excited to announce our multi-year partnership with Hockey Australia to implement a comprehensive sustainability program across its operations, using Everclime’s Sustainability-as-a-Service model.

Implementing emission reduction strategies to achieve a 25% carbon reduction by 2026
Engaging fans with impactful initiatives, such as digital Impact Cards to track and celebrate contributions
Launching an Impact Sponsorship category, offering brands new ESG-focused revenue opportunities
Supporting global leadership through the UNFCCC Sports for Climate Action framework
Our first major milestone is already underway, with restoration of native grasslands during the 2025 FIH Pro League, where fans can track their impact in real time.
