Hockey Australia is the national governing body for field hockey, responsible for leading, supporting, and growing the sport across all levels, from grassroots community participation to elite international competition. As a non-profit organisation, it oversees the strategic development of hockey nationwide, working with state and territory associations to deliver programs that foster inclusion, performance excellence, and long term engagement. Hockey Australia is globally recognised for its high performing national teams, the Kookaburras and Hockeyroos, who consistently rank among the world’s best, and it plays a key role in managing high-performance pathways, athlete development, and major international tournament preparation. Domestically, it also owns and operates the Hockey One League, a professional competition aimed at elevating the sport’s visibility and fan engagement.
