Reef Site
The Baung Penyu and Mimpang reef sites are located off the coast of Bali, Indonesia, and are known for their diverse and vibrant marine ecosystems. Baung Penyu, which means "turtle neck" in Indonesian, is a popular dive site with healthy coral reefs and a wide variety of fish and other marine creatures. Mimpang, on the other hand, is known for its strong currents and challenging diving conditions, but offers the chance to see larger marine animals like sharks and mola mola. Both sites are important for local tourism and provide economic benefits to the surrounding communities. However, like many coral reefs around the world, they are also threatened by human activities such as overfishing and pollution.
