The aim of the Adopt-a-spot program is to connect young people to the coast - engaging local school communities in long term environmental restoration projects at a specific site that they “adopt”. Each registry represents funding for the transportation, project coordination, seedling and brushing expenses to deliver this great program.

Line in the Sand: Adopt-a-Spot

Line in the Sand is proud to support the “Adopt-a-Spot” program facilitated by Nature Conservation Margaret River. The aim of the program is to connect young people to the coast - engaging local school communities in long term environmental restoration projects at a specific site that they “adopt” - working alongside community groups in an outdoor classroom. School students are given the opportunity to rehabilitate coastal areas through planting seedlings and cuttings, laying loads of brush and undertaking clean ups of their adopted beaches with follow up weeding.
