Project Story

Overview

It is our dream that distance from Perth, social disadvantage and money are not a barrier to regional young people pursuing and achieving goals.

A focus on towns around the Midwest such as Mullewa, Morawa, Northampton, Kalbarri and others, ensures all young people have access to resources and an opportunity to reach their potential.
Overview

Breaking Barriers: Addressing Resource Gaps and Accessibility Challenges for Regional Youth in WA

So often, regional young people face limits and barriers in resources and accessibility when pursuing their goals. The financial and logistic
barriers regional young people face when trying to pursue their goals, creates personal and systemic challenges in regional communities. Many metrics indicate educational disadvantage, limits in sport and recreation opportunities and services for mental health and well-being in regional areas of WA. These are all linked to poor well-being outcomes for young people.
