Adopting a coral

Adopting a coral will fund the maintenance and care of a single coral fragment in The Forever Reef Project collection. This includes regular health checks to ensure it thrives in our state-of-the-art holding facilities. Your fragment number will be sent to you, and you will be updated on what species your coral is, where it was collected, the environmental conditions from the wild, and its growth and health information as it grows.

Forever Reef Coral Expedition

A Forever Reef Project Coral Expedition is a specialised voyage to remote parts of the Great Barrier Reef. Here our team of marine scientists will collect, process and preserve coral samples that will be added to The Forever Reef Project collection, ensuring their long-term protection and providing a resource for ongoing reef research and restoration efforts. It’s through expeditions like these that we will ensure we safeguard all the coral biodiversity on the Great Barrier Reef.

Coral health checks

Regular coral health checks help monitor the well-being of coral specimens within The Forever Reef Project. By assessing their overall health, scientists can identify any signs of stress, disease, or degradation and take necessary measures to ensure their preservation and survival.

Rare coral Expedition

Rare corals often possess unique genetic traits and adaptations that make them valuable for scientific research and conservation efforts. By capturing and storing these corals in The Forever Reef Project, we preserve their genetic material and contribute to the overall biodiversity of coral collections. Your contribution will ensure that we can save rare coral species and preserve them in our living coral ark.

United Nations: Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected goals established by the United Nations in 2015. The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the world's most pressing economic, social, and environmental challenges.

Global impact groups play a crucial role in supporting the SDGs by creating mechanisms to mobilise resources, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive collective action toward achieving the goals. These groups have the capacity to leverage their expertise and resources to make a significant positive impact.
