Our model is to build Community & Nature Based Solutions across large areas of land (10,000 sq km) to directly tackle the climate and biodiversity crises. We only have one planet, and therefore we must figure out how to solve the challenges in a fully inclusive way. We must think big and act big. Working with Forever Wild is one of the most powerful contributions you can make.

Description

Our Societies, Our Earth, Our Future.

Forever Wild is an Australian organisation focused on protecting the last wilderness landscapes on Earth, for nature and for people. Our transformational model enables a truly sustainable future, creating social and ecological equity combined with sustainable economic practice.
Description

Climate, biodiversity, community.

We work by ensuring all values are recognised, from ancient rock art sites to the night skies, to the remarkable plants and animals that call these last wilderness landscapes home. We also support economic wellbeing by driving innovation in economic enterprise in our landscapes. Forever Wild is the first organsiation of its type in Australia, putting both nature and community at the heart of our work.

77% of the Earth’s wilderness is now gone, along with hundreds of languages, ancient knowledge and countless species of plants and animals. Forever Wild is working to manage remaining areas because these landscapes play a critical role in our climate by absorbing atmospheric carbon, and host extraordinary biological and cultural diversity. We apply science and traditional knowledge to conserve nature, we map and protect cultural heritage sites and shared histories, and we support long-term restorative economic enterprise.
Climate, biodiversity, community.

Sustainable Development Goals

The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are a set of 17 interconnected goals established by the United Nations in 2015. The SDGs provide a comprehensive framework for addressing the world's most pressing economic, social, and environmental challenges.

Global impact groups play a crucial role in supporting the SDGs by creating mechanisms to mobilise resources, collaborate with stakeholders, and drive collective action toward achieving the goals. These groups have the capacity to leverage their expertise and resources to make a significant positive impact.
